Our family-owned business has involved in the extraction and processing of high-quality raw materials since 1921 .
Adolf Gottfried Tonwerke GmbH and Gottfried Feldspat GmbH are situated in Großheirath, Germany, south of the city of Coburg.
The plant where our clays, chamottes, soapstone and ceramic bodies are extracted and prepared is located in Großheirath. Each year more than 100,000 tons of different raw materials are processed in different qualities for a wide range of applications. Gottfried ranges among the leading manufacturers of chamotte in Europe.
White-firing feldspathic sand, also referred to as pegmatite, is extracted and worked in Freihung/Thansüß, Germany, north-east of the city of Amberg.
