Technical ceramics

Steatite and cordierite bodies are mainly composed of raw and calcined soapstone. However, binding clays rich of AI₂O₃ and chamottes or cordierite chamottes are used with technical ceramics. Pegmatite is a basic raw material for technical porcelain.
